Assemblyman Brabenec Endorsed by Laborers’ International Union of North America

SLOATSBURG, NY – Assemblyman Karl Brabenec (who represents parts of Ramapo) announces that he has received the endorsement of the Laborers’ International Union of North America.

 

 

“In April, the Laborers’ International Union of North America endorsed my re-election campaign. This union of skilled workers builds infrastructure and works within the energy sector to provide us with roads, solar plants, sewer systems, and much more. I want to extend my gratitude for LIUNA’s support- I am happy to accept! ” said Assemblyman Brabenec.

Brabenec was elected to serve the constituents of the 98th Assembly District on November 4, 2014. The district includes parts of Orange and Rockland counties which include Deerpark, Port Jervis, Greenville, Minisink, Warwick, Monroe, Palm Tree, Tuxedo and Ramapo. He is currently the Assistant Minority Whip for the New York State Assembly and the ranking Minority member on the Assembly Labor Committee.

Senator Bill Weber Sworn in for a Second Term

A large crowd of Rockland residents gathered at Clarkstown Town Hall to witness Senator Bill Weber being sworn in for his second term in office. Police Chaplain David Lothrop served as the Master of Ceremonies, while County Legislator Lon Hofstein introduced the distinguished guests in attendance. County Executive Ed Day delivered remarks, highlighting the importance of having Senator Weber championing Rockland’s interests in Albany. The ceremony featured an invocation by Rabbi Abraham Horowitz of Spring Valley and a benediction by Reverend Teresa Darden of Nyack. Ava Aston performed stirring renditions of the national anthem and God Bless America. ” Thanks to all who participated and kudos to Clarkstown’s Police Honor Guard for enhancing the ceremony!”
