Body Discovered in Nyack, Orangetown Police Department Asking for Information from the Public

NYACK, NY – On Sunday, July 30, 2023 at approximately 2:46 PM, the Orangetown Police Department was notified of a body found in the water near the boat launch at the Nyack Marina. Upon arrival, responding units confirmed a female body was found in the water. Nyack Fire Department pulled the body from the water; the female was pronounced deceased on scene.

Orangetown Police Detective Bureau responded to the scene and is currently investigating. At this time, the female has been identified. However, the identification of the female is not being released until next of kin have been notified.

Rockland County Police Emerald Society Pipes & Drums Band Will Host An Information Session April 9th

An informational session is scheduled for Wednesday, April 9, at 6 PM. This meeting is open to current and former law enforcement personnel who are considering joining the band.
