CLARKSTOWN, NY – The Town of Clarkstown celebrated the installation of new state-of-the-art fitness equipment with a ribbon-cutting ceremony at the Street Community Center, marking a major upgrade in recreational amenities for residents.

The investment is part of the town’s broader initiative to promote health, wellness, and active living throughout the community. With this latest addition, all four of Clarkstown’s Community Centers are now outfitted with modern fitness stations, offering residents convenient access to top-tier workout options close to home.

“Providing our residents with safe, updated, and accessible fitness equipment is part of our commitment to promoting a healthier Clarkstown,” said Clarkstown Supervisor George Hoehmann.

The new equipment includes a mix of cardiovascular machines, strength training stations, and multi-use functional fitness gear, designed to accommodate all ages and fitness levels.

The upgrades are especially timely as more residents look to community-based fitness options that are affordable and accessible. The new installations are expected to enhance the overall user experience, increase community engagement, and encourage year-round participation in health and wellness activities.

Residents are encouraged to visit the Street Community Center and other local centers to explore the new equipment and take advantage of expanded health programming.

Report Litterbugs in Rockland County Through Keep Rockland Beautiful Program

Published

on

Littering is illegal and can result in fines for those who commit the offense. Some litterbugs simply need to be informed and reminded that littering — whether deliberate or unintentional — can end with a personal commitment to stop.

The Keep Rockland Beautiful Report-A-Litterbug Program encourages the public to report people who litter in an effort to help make Rockland County’s roadways cleaner. The program provides every individual with an opportunity to be an active participant in reducing litter.

If you see someone littering from their car, or trash blowing out from the back of a truck, the Rockland County Sheriff’s Office will send the vehicle owner a warning letter based on your report to Keep Rockland Beautiful.
