Community Candlelight Vigil Planned in Memory of Family in Clarkstown Murder-Suicide on Wednesday
NEW CITY, NY – All are welcome to join the candlelight vigil in loving memory of the Morgan Family on Wednesday, January 3rd. This event is coordinated by Friends of the Morgan Family, the Town of Clarkstown, Clarkstown Police Department, Clarkstown Central School District, St. Francis of Assisi Parish and the community.
The event is expected to start at 6pm. Please allow time to park. Limited parking will be available at Germonds Park – 185 Germonds Rd, West Nyack, NY 10994. Please consider car pooling. Overflow parking will be available at Felix Festa Middle School with shuttle buses starting at 5pm.
A temporary memorial will also be set up in the park, please feel free to bring pictures, flowers, etc to memorialize the Morgan family. Grief counselors, wearing vests, will be available under the gazebo to support the needs of the community.
The Gran Fondo National Series was born of a desire to combine the best aspects of bike racing and social rides, and create events that are fun, challenging, competitive, and inclusive. Our unique timed-segment format gives cyclists of different levels the opportunity to ride together, race each other, regroup to swap stories and enjoy the scenery in some of the nations finest cycling destinations.
Gran Fondo National Series has managed and produced more than 60 gran fondos including the Gran Fondo National Championship since 2012, when the series was first established. Today this national championship, which utilizes a time section format, is officially recognized by the America’s governing body of Olympic cycling and is recognized as the official USA Cycling Gran Fondo National Championships.
