Stony Point, NY – The New York Times dubbed Penguin Rep Theatre “the gutsiest little theatre”. Under the direction of founding Artistic Director Joe Brancato and executive director Andrew M. Horn, this local theatre has grown in 47 years from a summer theatre in a converted 1880’s hay barn to become one of the Hudson Valley’s most enduring nonprofit cultural institutions.

Season ticket holders enjoy early access to prime seating as well as post-performance discussions, pre-show tastings, dining discounts at a wide variety of restaurants, and savings on additional tickets and ticket insurance. Season tickets to Penguin Rep’s upcoming four shows are now on sale.

This year’s season will include the world premiere of THE SABBATH GIRL: A NEW MUSICAL by award-winning composer/lyricist Neil Berg, a resident of Nyack; the comedy CENTENNIAL CASTING; KEN LUDWIG’S DEAR JACK, DEAR LOUISE, in which the award-winning playwright (Lend Me a Tenor, Crazy for You) recounts his parents’ courtship during World War II; and the world premiere of THE STEEL MAN by Cary Gitter, Penguin’s playwright-in-residence.

Sony Point, NY – The Sabbath Girl  is a sparkling new musical about big-city life and the possibility of finding love when you’re least looking for it, maybe even right down the hall.

The Penguin Rep. Theatre is a repurposed 1880s barn in historic Stony Point (Rockland County), New York. “The converted barn, circa 1880, has never been more inviting” (The New York Times). Says Mr. Horn, “It’s theatre so close you can feel it, with comfortable upholstered seats and no seat more than 30 feet from the stage.” The theatre is air-conditioned and handicap accessible, features assistive hearing devices, and has plenty of free parking.

To order tickets or for further information, visit Penguin Rep’s website at WWW.PENGUINREP.ORG or call 845-786-2873.
