RCDAO Arrest a New City Man for Possessing a Ghost Gun and High-Capacity Magazines

Published

on

Rockland County District Attorney Thomas E. Walsh, II, announced the arrest of 24-year-old Charles Breslow from New City, NY, following a four-month investigation by the Rockland County District Attorney’s Office Drug Task Force into Ghost Guns. On April 7, 2025, a search warrant was executed at Breslow’s home, where authorities found a loaded 9mm Ghost Gun and multiple high-capacity magazines.

Breslow faces charges, including two counts of Criminal Possession of a Weapon in the Third Degree (for the high-capacity magazines), Criminal Possession of a Firearm, and Criminal Possession of a Weapon in the Fourth Degree.

District Attorney Walsh stated that Ghost Guns are untraceable firearms assembled from kits or individual components, making them just as dangerous as regular, serialized firearms. He reiterated his office’s dedication to removing illegal firearms from the community and stressed that the investigation remains ongoing, with law enforcement working together to ensure public safety.

The investigation was carried out by the Rockland County Drug Task Force, with support from the Westchester County Police Narcotics Unit and the Clarkstown Police Department. Breslow was arraigned in Clarkstown Justice Court and remanded to jail on $25,000 bail. As with all criminal cases, Breslow is presumed innocent until proven guilty.
