85 Consulting Hosting First Responders and Veterans Support Group in Haverstraw on Nov. 25

ROCKLAND COUNTY, NY – 85 Consulting will be hosting a first responders and veterans support group tonight, November 25, at 7pm at the Haverstraw Elks Lodge – Address: 877 Elks Dr, Haverstraw, NY 10927.

This event is free and open to all Rockland County first responders or veterans.

Who is 85 Consulting?

85 Consulting’s mission is to bring the latest in trauma and resilience research to life with the populations who need it most.

OUR INITIATIVES

include:

Our free-of-charge support groups for veterans, first responders, and law enforcement officers

Psychoeducational speaking engagements on the nature of trauma, increasing resilience, and performance

Individualized coaching and mental health counseling

Organizational consulting and practice-oriented interventions.

85 Consulting was founded by William Santana, a retired/disabled New York City police officer. In the coming weeks we will be doing a profile on Santana.

An Alligator Was Rescued From The Minisceongo Creek

Today at approximately 11:10am, Haverstraw Police responded to the Minisceongo Creek in the area of Bridge Street in Garnerville for a report of an alligator in the creek.
Haverstraw Police Department personnel assisted in successfully removing the alligator from the water. The Hudson Valley Humane Society of Pomona responded to the scene to take possession and care of the alligator.

UPDATE: Rockland County Firefighters Headed To Orange County To Assist In Greenwood Lake Wildfire

Rockland County fire departments deployed units to Greenwood Lake in Orange County last night to help protect structures threatened by the brush fire. Hillcrest, Blauvelt, Pearl River, New City, West Haverstraw, Central Nyack, Nanuet, Piermont, and Suffern responded.
Please keep all the first responders, home owners and residents in your thoughts and prayers.
