NYACK, NY – Congressman Mondaire Jones submitted funding requests for 10 important community projects in New York’s 17th Congressional District to the House Appropriations Committee.
As part of the FY2022 federal appropriations process, the Community Project Funding program is an opportunity for projects that benefit the communities in Westchester and Rockland Counties to receive direct federal funding. While Jones submitted these requests to the Appropriations Committee, it is up to the committee to determine which programs ultimately receive federal funding.
Below is a list of submitted funding requests for the following Rockland community-based projects:
New Center of Excellence for Women’s Health at Refuah Health Center (Spring Valley, NY)
West Nyack Revitalization (Clarkstown, NY)
Relocation and Rehabilitation of Piermont Village Hall (Piermont, NY)
Community Green Development (Spring Valley, NY)
Rockland County Pride Center Outpatient Diagnostic and Treatment Facility (Nyack, NY)
“I’m thrilled to announce that I’ve submitted funding requests for 10 incredible community projects,” said Congressman Mondaire Jones. “From Port Chester to Spring Valley, these projects span our congressional district and are integral to our communities. Just as our communities have served and supported the federal government, it’s the government’s turn to help them, and that’s exactly what this Community Project Funding would do.”
