Clarkstown Hosts Prayer Service Honoring Charlie Kirk, Drawing Over 500 Attendees

CLARKSTOWN, NY — A standing-room-only crowd of more than 500 people gathered Saturday evening at the Clarkstown Reformed Church for an interdenominational prayer service honoring Charlie Kirk. The event united clergy from three local congregations and community members in a shared evening of prayer, reflection, and remembrance.

The service was led by local ministers who emphasized faith, unity, and the power of community. Speakers included Congressman Mike Lawler, Clarkstown Supervisor George Hoehmann, Town Clerk Lauren Marie Wohl, and Aidan Rowan of the Rockland County Young Republicans, all of whom reflected on Kirk’s impact and legacy.

“It was a powerful and unifying evening,” said Supervisor George Hoehmann. “Charlie Kirk’s message of civic engagement and personal responsibility resonated deeply with many here in Clarkstown.”

The event highlighted the community’s commitment to respectful dialogue, shared values, and honoring those who work to inspire civic participation.

The operation marked a decisive turning point, eventually leading to the liberation of Western Europe from Nazi control. The fighting on D-Day came at a tremendous cost, with thousands of soldiers killed or wounded on the first day alone.

Today, D-Day is remembered not only as a major military milestone, but as a moment defined by extraordinary courage, sacrifice, and unity among ordinary people called to an extraordinary mission.
