The historic Salyer House will open its doors for three consecutive Sundays in December—December 7, 14 and 21—for seasonal open house events from 1 to 4 p.m. The museum will feature traditional holiday decorations, period charm, and refreshments, including Mary’s mulled cider and an assortment of cookies.

December 7

Visitors can enjoy holiday carols performed by students from the Tappan Zee High School choir. The performance begins at 2 p.m.

December 14

Pink Flamingo Puppets will present a performance of The Gingerbread Man at 2 p.m., welcoming both children and adults. Santa Claus will make an appearance during the event.

December 21

The final open house of the month will offer general admission with an old-fashioned respite from the holiday rush. Guests can enjoy cider, cookies, and traditional Chanukah treats.

The Orangetown Historical Museum encourages the community to join in the festivities and celebrate the season at the Salyer House.
