Hundreds Turn Out for Amish Outlaws Concert in Nanuet as Part of Clarkstown’s Summer Series

Nanuet, NY — Hundreds of music lovers gathered under the summer sky in Nanuet to enjoy a high-energy performance by the Amish Outlaws during the Town of Clarkstown’s popular Summer Concert Series.

The event, held at the Concert Field at Lake Nanuet, brought together families, friends, and fans of all ages who came out with lawn chairs, picnic blankets, and coolers to take in the upbeat, genre-blending set from the beloved band.

Known for their unique twist on popular songs and dressed in traditional Amish garb, the Amish Outlaws delivered a crowd-pleasing show filled with rock, hip hop, and classic hits that had the audience singing and dancing throughout the evening.

Clarkstown Supervisor George Hoehmann and members of the Town Board were in attendance, continuing their support for the town’s free summer entertainment offerings aimed at building community spirit and providing fun for all residents.

“Events like this are what make Clarkstown such a special place,” said Supervisor Hoehmann. “We’re proud to offer free, family-friendly concerts that bring people together and showcase top-tier entertainment right here in our backyard.”

‘Take Me America’ World Premiere Opens at Penguin Rep Theatre

Penguin Rep Theatre will present the world premiere of Take Me America, a powerful new musical exploring the hopes, dreams, and challenges of the American immigration experience, running August 14 through September 6.

Written by Neil Berg (music and additional lyrics) and Bill Nabel (book and lyrics), the production is set in 2015 and follows Gary Campbell, an immigration official on his very first day on the job.

As Gary meets with individuals seeking a new life in the United States, he is confronted with deeply personal stories of sacrifice, heartbreak, resilience, and hope. Throughout the musical, he must make life-changing decisions that will determine the futures of those standing before him.

Blending an emotional story with an original score, Take Me America offers audiences a timely and thought-provoking look at the human side of immigration while celebrating the courage and determination of those pursuing the American dream.

The production marks another world premiere for Penguin Rep Theatre, which has earned a national reputation for developing new works that have gone on to stages across the country.

The hit television series FBI: Most Wanted is filming on location at Rockland Lake, bringing cast members, production crews, cameras, and support vehicles to the area.

Visitors may notice increased activity around portions of the park as filming takes place throughout the day. While production crews work on set, access to some areas may be temporarily limited.

Rockland County has become an increasingly popular filming destination thanks to its scenic locations and proximity to New York City, with television shows and movies frequently choosing local parks, downtowns, and neighborhoods as backdrops.
