Multicultural Night at Spring Valley High School Continues with Assistance from Assemblyman Lawler

Published

on

SPRING VALLEY, NY – For the past 20 years, Spring Valley High School has been holding Multicultural Day, where students and educators focus on the different cultures represented throughout the world, and then, more locally, throughout the school. Due to covid-19, a virtual presentation was created that featured students cooking, singing, showing slide shows, reciting speeches and poems.

The school had funding issues to hold the annual celebration and Mr. Hircsh contacted multiple offices and different organizations. He also contacted Assemblyman Mike Lawler, who got involved and helped recruit local businesses; Bingo Wholesale and Care365 to cover most of the cost of the program. With their donation and together with other organizations the show was able to go on.
