New York State Police seize more than 200 pounds of marijuana during a routine traffic stop in Chatham, New York.
New York State Police said they pulled over a car Friday (May 17,2019) morning around 10:00 a.m. on the New York State Thruway.
According to troopers, the car had a minor violation, and the driver violated a traffic law.
After the car was pulled over, a K9 detection unit performed a proper search of the vehicle that lead to the discovery of more than 200 pounds of marijuana – enough to fill more than 6 hockey equipment bags.
Troopers arrested 29-year-old Corey W. Heald and 51-year-old Kelly L. Heald, both from Massena for criminal possession of marijuana in the first degree.
