Pearl River Fire Department Assists at Structure Fire in Montvale, NJ

Montvale, NJ — The Pearl River Fire Department responded to a mutual aid request for a working structure fire in Montvale, New Jersey.

Pearl River’s Department 12 was requested to provide a FAST (Firefighter Assist and Search Team), which included the deployment of units 12-1, 12-2, 12-78, and 12-1500.

Upon arrival, Pearl River firefighters stood by in their assigned FAST role and were later tasked with ventilation and overhaul operations to help bring the incident under control.

Crews remained on scene for approximately two hours before returning to service in Rockland County.

The incident drew response from multiple local agencies, including the Montvale Fire Department, Montvale Police Department, Park Ridge Fire Department, and Excelsior Engine Company 1.

No injuries were reported at the time of this release. The cause of the fire remains under investigation.

Nanuet Fire Department Recruiting Volunteer Firefighters Ages 16+

The Nanuet Fire Department is encouraging residents to consider joining its ranks as volunteer firefighters, continuing a long tradition of community service and emergency response.

Drawing on the historic “We Want You” message that has inspired generations to serve, the department says that same spirit of courage and commitment remains central to its mission today.

Residents age 16 and older are eligible to apply and are encouraged to step forward to help protect their neighbors and community.

Volunteer firefighters assist with emergency response, fire prevention, and public safety efforts throughout the Nanuet area.

Officials say volunteering not only helps strengthen emergency services but also provides an opportunity to make a meaningful impact by helping save lives and support the community.

Emergency Rescue Truck Crashes Into West Haverstraw Home After Route 9W Collision

An emergency rescue truck responding to a reported boating accident crashed into an occupied home in West Haverstraw shortly after midnight after colliding with a Jeep on Route 9W, according to police.

A family, including young children, was inside the home at the time of the crash. Several first responders, the Jeep’s 17-year-old driver, and one resident were transported to area hospitals with injuries. Authorities said all are expected to recover.

The cause of the crash remains under investigation.
