NEW CITY, NY – Lauren Marie Wohl, a Clarkstown political rising star announces candidacy for Clarkstown Town Clerk.
Wohl, a mother of three girls who attend Clarkstown schools and is a wife to an NYPD Officer. She has extensive work experience in management in the private sector. Over the last 3 years, she has created an extremely influential Facebook group that is dedicated to informing the public about news in the community.
The election for Clarkstown Clerk is in 2021.

THROWING MY HAT IN THE RING FOR 2021 LET’S GO!
After careful consideration and with the blessing of my family, I am announcing my candidacy for the Clarkstown Town Clerk position. I will be seeking the nomination from the Republican Party to run in the 2021 election.
Over the next few months I will provide a detailed explanation on why I think it’s time for a change in the Town Clerk’s office and what I propose to do differently. To start, I’d like to give Clarkstown’s residents some important background on who I am.
About Me:
I am a homeowner and resident of New City since 2009.
I am of Cuban/Italian descent, and my maiden name is Fernandez.
I am the mother of three beautiful girls, who attend public school in Clarkstown.
I am the wife of a man who supports me in every way I could ask for.
I am a fighter when I feel a fight needs to be had.
I have been a voice for those who feel they must stay silent.
I am a supporter of those who have led the charge for positive change in our community.
I am a woman who knows there is no limit to what can be achieved with hard work and a motivated team of people of working together.
I worked hard for everything I have in my life. Nothing was handed to me and I take nothing for granted.
I am not a politician; I am a person just like you, who wants better government in order to secure a better future for our families.
My Experience:
I was raised in a single parent home where money was tight. At the age of 15, I went to work out of necessity to help my family survive.
At 16 years old, I was offered an entry level job working for the Director of Operations at large security company in Pleasantville, NY. I grabbed coffee, took notes, and learned all there was to know about the company.
After a few years of working as hard as possible to prove myself, I began to move up the ladder.
When the Director of Operations retired, I was offered his position at the tender age of 22.
I served for 12 years as the Director of Operations and the company flourished into a multi-million-dollar company that had expanded across the country.
I managed over 2,000 employees and was responsible for fleet management, pistol licensing, compliance, overseeing payroll, purchasing, and budgeting. I created and executed safety plans for clients such as MBIA Insurance and Greenwich American Center. After 9/11, I was tasked with developing an emergency plan for the New York Mercantile Exchange. I learned every aspect of running a successful organization, but most importantly I developed the skills needed to effectively solve problems.
In 2014 I decided to leave the company, on an incredibly good note, for no other reason than to spend more time with my children and family.
Why I’m The Right Person For The Office Of Town Clerk:
To put it simply, I love helping people! As many know I am the creator and one of the administrators for a Facebook group called Clarkstown Community Uncensored. The reason I started the group was to hear opinions left, right, and center. I wanted to hear all points of view on the issues that matter in our town. As this group grew, more and more people started to organize to tackle and address issues throughout not just Clarkstown, but the whole county. People of all backgrounds came together to help improve our community. I was inspired by that cooperative spirit and the positive accomplishments that were achieved in helping others.
I have always tried to be fair and balanced in my assessment of the issues and political candidates regardless of party affiliation. There is no reason why people cannot talk civilly and debate respectfully. I am not a politician. I am simply a person who wants to serve our community and if you elect me to represent you, I assure you I will never stray from my moral compass.
As a Town Clerk, I will be there face to face with people who need help. I am not the type of person that would turn you away if you walked in with a complaint that does not fall under my jurisdiction. I am the type of person to make sure it gets taken care of, even if that means bringing an issue to the Town Board and possibly rattling some cages. I want to be an ear and a voice for you, and I humbly ask for your support in the 2021 election year, to do just that.
