JUDGE TOM WALSH OFFICIALLY LAUNCHES CAMPAIGN FOR ROCKLAND COUNTY DISTRICT ATTORNEY
Judge Walsh, a lifelong Democrat, will run in the Democratic Primary in June and has already been endorsed by the Republican and Conservative parties.
Tuesday, February 26, 2019… Today, Judge Tom Walsh officially announced his candidacy for Rockland County District Attorney at the Sons of Italy Lodge in Blauvelt, NY.
In announcing his candidacy, Judge Walsh said, “We need a District Attorney who has the right experience, independence, and temperament – an individual that is dedicated to the pursuit of justice for all citizens and the enforcement of our laws, without fear or favor.” Walsh continued, “Throughout my forty-two year legal career, including thirty-five years of judicial experience, I believe that I have demonstrated those qualities and it is in that vein that I am running for District Attorney.”
Judge Walsh, a Democrat, will run in the Democratic Primary in June and has already been endorsed by the Republican and Conservative parties. In his previous judicial races, he has enjoyed the support of all three parties and is running on a platform of “Uniting Rockland.”
“We must have a united Rockland, not a divided one. This campaign is not about choosing one political party over the other. It’s about choosing the right person for the job and serving all of the people of Rockland County with honesty, integrity, independence, and compassion.” Walsh concluded, “As District Attorney, I will be an independent voice for Rockland County and work every day to put you, the people of this county, before politics.”
Judge Tom Walsh grew up in Congers and graduated from Clarkstown High School. After high school, Tom attended Fordham College, where he earned by B.A degree in 1970. Realizing that he had a passion for law, Tom had the distinct pleasure of attending and graduating from St. John’s University School of Law in 1975.
