Congers Lake Walkway Will Open on Monday, May 11th

CONGERS, NY – Supervisor George Hoehmann announced today that Congers Lake Walkway will be open effective 10:00AM, Monday, May 11th with social distancing precautions in place. The park will be open from 8:00AM-8:00PM daily.

The walkway will be open for walking, jogging, bike riding, social distancing is required and staff will be present to ensure compliance. All amenities and facilities will remain closed including playgrounds, basketball courts, tennis courts, bathrooms and the dog park. Only two access points will be open, residents can enter the park through the main parking lot at the Congers Community Center and the Lake Road entrance near Rt. 303 and Rick’s Club American. Upon entrance residents will be required to go to the right the walkway is only one way at this time. The town has installed numerous one way direction signs and residents are asked to observe the new rule. The town will have staff at both entrances checking ID and ensuring social distancing. We urge residents to wear masks.

Town staff will have masks available for residents at each entrance. All other entrances and access points will remain closed at this time.
