Former Orangetown Town Supervisor announced this morning on Facebook that he will be the Democratic nominee for Supervisor this November.

“I’m honored – and excited – that I will be the Democratic nominee for Orangetown Supervisor this November. For those of you not aware, incumbent Chris Day will not run for reelection. Our Democratic candidate, Robert Tompkins, has voluntarily withdrawn to allow the committee on vacancies to designate me as the standard-bearer. I’m appreciative of Robert’s graciousness and his passionate advocacy for climate change solutions. That, protection of our zoning and planning laws and keeping taxes and spending low will be my focus. More on that later, but, for now, I just wanted to share this news. Senator Bill Weber Sworn in for a Second Term

A large crowd of Rockland residents gathered at Clarkstown Town Hall to witness Senator Bill Weber being sworn in for his second term in office. Police Chaplain David Lothrop served as the Master of Ceremonies, while County Legislator Lon Hofstein introduced the distinguished guests in attendance. County Executive Ed Day delivered remarks, highlighting the importance of having Senator Weber championing Rockland’s interests in Albany. The ceremony featured an invocation by Rabbi Abraham Horowitz of Spring Valley and a benediction by Reverend Teresa Darden of Nyack.
