Haverstraw PD Announce Arrest of 25-Year-Old in Fatal Hit & Run on Thiells Mt. Ivy Road

HAVERSTRAW, NY – Haverstraw Police Department announce the arrest of a 25-year-old female from Pomona in connection with the fatal hit and run motor vehicle accident on Thiells Mt. Ivy Road in the early morning of January 26, 2024. The suspect was charged with the following: 𝐥𝐞𝐚𝐯𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐬𝐜𝐞𝐧𝐞 𝐨𝐟 𝐚𝐧 𝐚𝐜𝐜𝐢𝐝𝐞𝐧𝐭 – 𝐢𝐧𝐯𝐨𝐥𝐯𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐚 𝐝𝐞𝐚𝐭𝐡 (𝐃 𝐅𝐞𝐥𝐨𝐧𝐲), 𝐚𝐠𝐠𝐫𝐚𝐯𝐚𝐭𝐞𝐝 𝐮𝐧𝐥𝐢𝐜𝐞𝐧𝐬𝐞𝐝 𝐨𝐩𝐞𝐫𝐚𝐭𝐨𝐫 𝟏𝐬𝐭 – 𝐩𝐞𝐫𝐦𝐚𝐧𝐞𝐧𝐭 𝐫𝐞𝐯𝐨𝐜𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 (𝐄 𝐅𝐞𝐥𝐨𝐧𝐲), 𝐜𝐢𝐫𝐜𝐮𝐦𝐯𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐚𝐧 𝐢𝐧𝐭𝐞𝐫𝐥𝐨𝐜𝐤 𝐝𝐞𝐯𝐢𝐜𝐞 (𝐔 𝐌𝐢𝐬), 𝐚𝐠𝐠𝐫𝐚𝐯𝐚𝐭𝐞𝐝 𝐮𝐧𝐥𝐢𝐜𝐞𝐧𝐬𝐞𝐝 𝐨𝐩𝐞𝐫𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 (𝐀 𝐌𝐢𝐬).

This incident occurred on Thiells Mt Ivy Road in the area of the Hillcrest Firehouse.

The victim, Dan SeSerio was a well known and respected to the residents, workers and business owners of the Towns of Nyack, Piermont and Spring Valley. “The beautiful soul who brightened not only your windows but your day, has tragically passed. He was the victim of a hit-and-run accident as he was crossing the street in his hometown of Pomona.

Haverstraw Police Department Responds To Shots Fired

On Monday July 1, 2024, Haverstraw Patrol units responded to the area of Fairmount Avenue and West Street on a report of shots fired. Upon arrival, units observed a vehicle crashed into a parked car opposite 9 Fairmount Avenue and the driver next to the vehicle on the ground with multiple gunshot wounds to the torso area. The victim was transported to Nyack Hospital where he was pronounced deceased. The victim has been identified as Christian Alvarado, 29 years old of Pomona, NY. The investigation is ongoing, and HPD are asking the public to call the Haverstraw Police Department at 845-354-1500 with any information they may have regarding this incident.

Clarkstown PD Detective Bureau Investigating Two Incidents Involving Attempted Theft Of Luxury Vehicles

The Clarkstown Police Department Detective Bureau is currently investigating two incidents involving attempted theft of luxury vehicles in the New City area, specifically on Preakness Ln. and Gable Rd. We urge the public to review any camera footage they may have between the hours of 4:00 AM and 6:00 AM and to contact the Clarkstown Police Department at (845) 639-5800 if they observe anything suspicious.
