STONY POINT, NY – Meet Keith Williams, candidate for Stony Point Town Board. Williams is currently running in a primary to secure the Republican nomination. Below is a short bio from Keith Williams.

“My name is Keith Williams; I am a Stony Point resident and I am running for a Council position on the Stony Point Town Board. I have lived in Stony Point for almost thirty years and like you, I am concerned about the future of Stony Point. My wife Madelyn and I are raising our two daughters here and I want to ensure that they can remain in Stony Point and be able to raise their families here.

I am running for office because I want to ensure that the Town Board remains accountable to YOU, the people of Stony Point. I will represent ALL Stony Pointers and work to ensure that Stony Point grows and prospers while working to ensure that we develop and grow Stony Point in a way that preserves our small town feel and does not allow for overdevelopment. I will ensure fiscal prudence where it pertains to the town’s finances, your tax dollars. I will work tirelessly with the other board members to ensure that we are utilizing all of the grants and financial assistance that are available to the town from the federal, state and local governmental agencies, in order to prevent unnecessary increases in your taxes.”

Williams is running on a ticket with fellow candidate Todd Rose. The primary will be on June 22nd.

Senator Bill Weber Sworn in for a Second Term

A large crowd of Rockland residents gathered at Clarkstown Town Hall to witness Senator Bill Weber being sworn in for his second term in office. Police Chaplain David Lothrop served as the Master of Ceremonies, while County Legislator Lon Hofstein introduced the distinguished guests in attendance. County Executive Ed Day delivered remarks, highlighting the importance of having Senator Weber championing Rockland’s interests in Albany. The ceremony featured an invocation by Rabbi Abraham Horowitz of Spring Valley and a benediction by Reverend Teresa Darden of Nyack. Ava Aston performed stirring renditions of the national anthem and God Bless America. ” Thanks to all who participated and kudos to Clarkstown’s Police Honor Guard for enhancing the ceremony!”

Nabeela is currently the Court Attorney for Rockland County Court Judge Djinsad Desir and was an Executive Assistant District Attorney at the Rockland County District Attorney’s Office where she worked for 18 years. In that time, she prosecuted cases involving murder, assault, burglary, and robbery.
Nabeela has lived in Rockland County for over 20 years with her husband, and are raising their two daughters Maya and Mina in Clarkstown.
