BREAKING: Multiple Fatalities in Vehicle Accident on New Hempstead

BREAKING: (UPDATED 6:50) First responders are on scene of a serious motor vehicle accident on New Hempstead Road.

A van struck a tree with up to 10 passengers entrapped in the vehicle. All occupants of the van have been extracted at this time. It has been reported some were children (as young as 9 yrs. old – unconfirmed at this time). Some of the passengers were transported to Nyack Hospital and Westchester Medical.

🚨 UPDATE: Orthodox News Outlets are reporting two fatalities from the accident.

Traffic Update – New Hempstead Road will be CLOSED in both directions between the PIP and Rt 45 for Accident Investigation.

Rockland County Police Emerald Society Pipes & Drums Band Will Host An Information Session April 9th

The Rockland County Police Emerald Society Pipes & Drums Band is actively seeking individuals interested in learning to play the bagpipes or drums. An informational session is scheduled for Wednesday, April 9, at 6 PM. This meeting is open to current and former law enforcement personnel who are considering joining the band.
