Nicholas Pecora of Congers commits to play lacrosse at Naval Academy

DEERFIELD, MASSACHUSETTS: Rising Junior Nicholas Pecora has announced his commitment to play Lacrosse at the US Naval Academy.

“One of the best stoppers in the class, saving 72% to earn All-League honors for the Big Green” said Ty Xanders – Director of Recruiting for Inside Lacrosse.

Pecora is from Congers, and is the starting Goalie for the elite prep school – Deerfield Academy. According to Inside Lacrosse, he is currently ranked 71 in their top 100 Juniors in the country (and Canada). He choose Navy over Norte Dame, Brown, Princeton, and Duke University.

North Rockland Varsity Girls Bowling Team Capture The Division 1 Championship with Thrilling Final Victory

The competition at Strike and Spare Lanes in Syracuse, NY was intense, with the girls battling all the way to the final frames. In an exciting finish during game six, they never gave up and secured the championship victory. The eight girls—Gianna Varano, Lily Conrad, Riley Ferguson, Penelope Hernandez, Sophia Vinci, Kaylee Dabreau, Jane DeSimone, and Lilianna Boulay—showed incredible teamwork throughout the event. Individually, Captain Gianna Varano bowled the highest game (290) and series (1359) of the competition. Riley Ferguson was honored with the Section 1 Sportsmanship Award.
