Orangetown Democratic Committee Endorses Lisa DeFeciani for Orangetown Town Board

NYACK, NY – The Orangetown Democratic Committee has announce its endorsement of Lisa DeFeciani for Orangetown Town Board candidate.

Lisa is a lifelong Rockland resident, growing up in Haverstraw. She recently moved to Blauvelt from Piermont, where she served on the Village Board. Among her many successes as a Village Trustee in Piermont, her role in establishing the Piermont Waterfront Resiliency Commission is perhaps the best example of her passion for the environment. Lisa worked on the creation of a flood resiliency plan, a plan for the protection of the Piermont Marsh, and she led the team that explored design alternatives for a more climate resilient Piermont. As Village Trustee, DeFeciani was also able to secure over a half a million dollars in grant money to assist the Village and reduce the taxpayer burden to address the issue of sea level rise.

“In her work as a clinical social worker, Lisa works with those struggling in our community, particularly those afflicted by substance abuse. Lisa began her education right here in Rockland, at Rockland Community College. Lisa is deeply involved in the Orangetown community – through her church, St. Catharine’s Church in Blauvelt,, as a coach in the CYO basketball league, through her volunteer work at Blauvelt’s Neighborhood Food Pantry and through her two children, Ella and Liam Barile, who
are both students in the South Orangetown School District.” said the Orangetown Democratic Committee in a press release.
