ROCKLAND COUNTY, NY – The organization Veteran Angels of Hope, led by Sloatsburg resident Richard Jarcho organizes donations of Turkeys and food for Thanksgiving for veterans in need and for any veteran or their family. Jarcho, served in the Army in the late 1950’s. He has been holding drives for vets for ten years in Rockland, and this is his first year expanding to the Town of Clarkstown.

In total 300 Thanksgiving meals were delivered to veterans in Rockland on Saturday.

The organizations say they are offering a free bag of groceries including non-perishable food items to veterans who are struggling with food insecurity this holiday season.

Veterans were be able to pick up their package of groceries at Sloatsburg Village Hall and Street School Community Center in New City.
