Rockland County Enters Phase II, Restaurants, Salons, Retail, Open

NEW CITY, NY – Rockland County Enters Phase II: Starting today, outdoor dining is now allowed and many restaurants will be taking advantage of this option. We stopped by Norcina’s in New City to show residents how outdoor dining will look.

In addition professional services like real estate can open at 50% capacity, Retail stores are now allowed to have customers inside in limited capacity with protections, and Barber shops and beauty salons are now allowed to open.

The town of Clarkstown and Orangetown are allowing a relaxation of the rules using sidewalks and parking areas for seating a number of restaurants are taking advantage of this change.

Palisades Mall Reopens The Iconic Ferris Wheel

The 60-foot tall attraction is the only indoor Ferris Wheel in New York. It is now open daily in the Food Court from 12:30 to 8 PM. The mall will be hosting a ribbon-cutting ceremony on Saturday, January 18th from 12 to 3 PM that’ll feature live entertainment and half-price rides for all guests. The Ferris Wheel had been part of Palisades Center since the mall opened in 1998. The carousel was removed in 2021 and replaced with a rock climbing wall. – WRCR.

This is their first location and are proudly representing Rockland County. “Uptown Coffee Bar is a new coffee shop in West Nyack, across from the Palisades Mall. UCB will differentiate itself by having a fun urban/multicultural vibe and friendly service. Our coffee is sourced from La Colombe, a specialty roaster that offers coffee/espresso that is a step up from Starbucks, Dunkin’, and the other coffee shops in the area.”
