The Town of Clarkstown closed Congers Dog Park the day after a Social Media post went viral alleging unsanitary conditions.

The post was first posted in the popular facebook group – Clarkstown Community Uncensored. The dog owner alleges that her dog became ill due to the conditions at Congers Dog Park. Furthermore, she has taken her dog to the vet three times with a total cost of $800. Read her full post below.

Around 1:30 pm on Thursday, we stopped by the Congers Dog Park to investigate ourselves. We found multiple town employees who were removing mulch and debris from the park.

According to Lauren Marie of Clarkstown Community Uncensored, Supervisor Hoehmann informed her that the park would be close for the next couple of days for repairs.
