West Point Offers Suffern HS Running Back Clev Lubin

WEST POINT, NY – West Point (the United States Military Academy) offered Suffern (NY) junior running back and defensive end Clev Lubin last week.

Lubin, a rising junior, is one of the best football players to come out of Suffern High School in a very long time. Not only does he excel on the field, but also in the classroom. Besides Football, he is equally as talented in Basketball. This past week, he lead the Mounties to a County Championship over rival North Rockland High School.

In January John Loose, Assistant Head Coach at West Point visited Suffern High School to meet with Clev.

New York Liberty To Celebrate First WNBA Championship With Parade in New York City This Thursday, Oct. 24th

This Thursday, Oct. 24, the New York Liberty will celebrate its first WNBA Championship in franchise history with a ticker tape parade through New York City. The parade will tip off at 10 a.m. from Battery Park and proceed north along Broadway to City Hall, through what is known as the “Canyon of Heroes.” Following the parade, there will be a ceremony at City Hall honoring the New York Liberty at noon.

Members from Jawonio in Rockland were recognized in an on-field ceremony prior to yesterday’s New York Yankees game
