ROCKLAND COUNTY, NY – Governor Kathy Hochul has declared a State of Emergency for Rockland County, the Hudson Valley, New York City, and Long Island due to the significant, dangerous rainfall that is currently impacting the region and is expected to continue for the next 20 hours.

Officials are reminding residents to take precautions and exercise caution to stay safe. Avoid walking or driving down a flooded road, which are some of the most dangerous places during flash floods.

We’re expecting to see more rain throughout tonight and will provide updates on road closures and flooding.
