News 12 Hudson Valley Spotlights Legislator Dana Stilley As The First African American Woman To Serve As A Rockland County Legislator

District 17 – Legislator Dana Stilley has been a resident of Orangetown her entire life. After graduating from Tappan Zee High School, she earned a BS in Applied Mathematics and Economics from Brown University, as well as an MBA in Finance and Management Science from Columbia Business School. Stilley also earned a PhD from Old Dominion University, and she is the Founder and CEO of The Stilley Agency, an education consulting firm.

Rockland County Legislator Dana Stilley is profiled as part of News 12 Hudson Valley‘s Black History Month coverage. April is National Child Abuse Prevention Month

Every year, Department of Social Services Commissioner (DSS) Joan Silvestri hosts a “Pinwheels for Prevention” event to raise awareness for child abuse prevention. The pinwheel garden represents what we want for every child – a happy, safe, and carefree childhood.

District Attorney Tom Walsh thanks the employees from the Department of Social Services, Center for Safety & Change, and other agencies who do the hard but important work on behalf of children.
