As part of the D.A.R.E. Program with the Clarkstown Police Department, students at the Birchwood School and Link Elementary School were paid special visits from local K-9 officers and their trusty companions. The officers demonstrated how the police dogs have been trained to assist them with specialized tasks, like search and rescue, and talked to learners about all aspects of their unit.
