Clarkstown Police Department Sergeant Scott Rios Retires After 26 Years Of Dedicated Service

Scott began his career with the NYPD in August 1998, and in August 2001, he joined Clarkstown PD. He was promoted to sergeant in 2010, where he continued to serve with dedication and professionalism.
Throughout his career, Sergeant Rios made a significant impact, serving as an instructor at the Police Academy and coordinating the Field Training Officer (FTO) program. His contributions have helped shape the department and the officers he worked alongside. Additionally, his dedication to the Clarkstown PBA as a board member further exemplified his commitment to the department and his colleagues.
We thank Sergeant Rios for his years of service to the Clarkstown community and wish him the best in his retirement.

CPD Report Serious Motor Vehicle Accident Involving Pedestrian Closes Southbound Route 304 in New City

Clarkstown Police Department is on scene at a serious motor vehicle accident involving a pedestrian at the intersection of Route 304 and Main Street in New City.
As a result, Route 304 southbound lanes are currently closed. The Clarkstown Police Accident Investigation Team is actively investigating.
The pedestrian sustained severe injuries and has been transported to a nearby hospital for treatment. The driver of the vehicle remained on scene.
Please avoid the area and use alternate routes.
