Sacred Heart CYO Girls Basketball Team Wins Rockland County CYO Championship

ROCKLAND COUNTY, NY – The Sacred Heart CYO Girls basketball team finished the season 14-0, undefeated. Last week, they won the Rockland County CYO Championship game held at Albertus Magnus and Sunday winning the Semi Final CYO State Championship game.

Congratulations to Emily Rodriguez of Nyack High School, who is a NY State Champion in Wrestling!

This is a historic moment as this was the first ever NYSPHSAA Girls Wrestling Championship! Emily is also the first Nyack HS State Champ since Marcel Cooper won his title in 1988. Emily won all four matches via pin, beating an undefeated All-American and Nationally-ranked wrestler to win the championship.

Suffern Boys Swimming and Diving Relay Team Breaks Record Leale Defends State Title

Big news coming out of Suffern boys swimming and diving: Boys 400 free relay team of James Hyman, Aiden Ramirez, Ben Courtney and Avery Vinas broke the school record and advanced to the finals and Ben Courtney also advanced to the finals in the 100 butterfly.
On the diving front: Luke Leale won the state championships for the second year in a row, beating out 30 divers for the top spot!
