Caitlin Clark delivered one of the greatest individual performances in basketball history Friday night, pouring in a career-high 45 points to lead the Indiana Fever to a thrilling 110-107 victory over the Seattle Storm while rewriting the WNBA record books.

Clark didn’t just have a career night—she made history.

The Fever superstar added 10 assists, four steals and two blocks, becoming the first player in WNBA history to record a 40-point, 10-assist game. Her 45 points also set a new Indiana Fever franchise record.

The performance becomes even more remarkable considering Clark accomplished the feat while playing just 29 minutes as she continues to return from a back injury and was still on a managed minutes restriction. She shot 11-of-18 from the field, including 6-of-10 from three-point range, and sealed the win with a clutch late three-pointer and four free throws in the closing seconds.

Clark also became the fastest player in WNBA history to reach 200 career three-pointers, accomplishing the milestone in just 74 games, breaking the previous record of 81 games.

Her historic stat line also places her alongside some of basketball’s biggest names. According to widely shared statistical research, Clark is one of only five players in NBA/WNBA history to record at least 45 points, 10 assists, four steals and two blocks in a single game. The others are Michael Jordan, Dwyane Wade, Luka Dončić, and Cade Cunningham.

For many basketball fans, Friday night’s performance was another reminder that Clark is already reshaping the WNBA record book just two seasons into her professional career.
