Rockland County Week in Review (June 29 – July 3, 2020)

The week before the 4th of July weekend was certainly an eventful one in Rockland County. From the Clarkstown COVID-19 Party Cluster and the alleged party host response, to Sheriff Lou Falco under fire for sharing controversial posts on his personal Facebook page that have lead to calls for his resignation. Across the county we faced strong storms with Hail in New City and Nanuet, we were sent a video of a Clarkstown Police Department officer directing traffic in the pouring rain. Also included, we had a NJ police chase suspect arrested in Ramapo, failed Village of South Nyack meeting regarding sale of Nyack College, Fireworks at Bowline, and a Shed Fire in Haverstaw.

We also had some positive news, Rockland native and national political star Mondaire Jones was on MSNBC’s Morning Joe.

Sony Point, NY – The Sabbath Girl  is a sparkling new musical about big-city life and the possibility of finding love when you’re least looking for it, maybe even right down the hall.

The Penguin Rep. Theatre is a repurposed 1880s barn in historic Stony Point (Rockland County), New York. “The converted barn, circa 1880, has never been more inviting” (The New York Times). Says Mr. Horn, “It’s theatre so close you can feel it, with comfortable upholstered seats and no seat more than 30 feet from the stage.” The theatre is air-conditioned and handicap accessible, features assistive hearing devices, and has plenty of free parking.

To order tickets or for further information, visit Penguin Rep’s website at WWW.PENGUINREP.ORG or call 845-786-2873.
