MONSEY, NY – At approximately 12:35 PM on Thursday a Ramapo patrol officer observed a smoke condition in the area of Orchard St. & Main Street in the Monsey area.

After a brief search he located the source of the smoke emanating from a structure at 19 Main St., Monsey. The building burst into flames as the officer approached the building to see if it was occupied. Brewer Fire Company Monsey Fire Department responded to the scene. The fire department was assisted by the Tallman Volunteer Fire Department and the South Spring Valley Fire Dept.
