WESLEY HILLS, NY – On Sunday (June 6) at approximately 10:30 pm, the Hillcrest Fire Company was dispatched to a Structure Fire on Timber Trail in Wesley Hills.
While responding, 44-Control advised that Town of Ramapo Police Department was on scene and advised a working fire which prompted Assistant Chief Gessner (6-2) to call for a re-tone. Captain Ben-Jacob (6-4) was first on scene and confirmed the Signal 12 with fire through the roof. 6-Tanker was first due and the crew from the Tanker swiftly forced entry, began a search, and stretched a line to begin the aggressive interior attack. 6-Tower set up to the roof for ventilation and 6-1750 hit the hydrant. As additional apparatus arrived, the manpower was put to work to pull ceilings and operate two additional lines. The great teamwork allowed us to make swift work of the Fire. Departments who also responded; Thiells Fire Department, Monsey Fire Dept, Columbian Engine Co. #1 and Volunteer Hose Company #2.
