AOC Challenger John Cummings in Rockland Supporting Maureen McArdle Schulman for Congress

POMONA, NY – John Cummings, a former NYC teacher and NYPD Officer, is challenging Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez in New York’s 14th Congressional District was in Rockland County on Thursday supporting Maureen McArdle Schulman.

Schulman, is a former FDNY firefighter who lives in Westchester County. She is running for Congress in New York’s 17th Congressional District versus Rockland native and Harvard grad Mondaire Jones. Maureen has attended both “Back the Blue” Rally in Pearl River and “Support Law Enforcement” Rally in Suffern.

 

 

In attendance at the fundraiser were Rockland County Executive Ed Day, Town of Clarkstown Supervisor George Hoehmann, Bill Weber – Candidate for NYS Senate, former Pomona Mayor Brett Yagel, Legislator Vince Tyer, Mayor and Chairman of the Orange County Legislature Steve Brescia (Candidate for NYS Senate 39), and Stony Point Superintendents of Highways Larry Brissing.

Senator Bill Weber Sworn in for a Second Term

A large crowd of Rockland residents gathered at Clarkstown Town Hall to witness Senator Bill Weber being sworn in for his second term in office. Police Chaplain David Lothrop served as the Master of Ceremonies, while County Legislator Lon Hofstein introduced the distinguished guests in attendance. County Executive Ed Day delivered remarks, highlighting the importance of having Senator Weber championing Rockland’s interests in Albany. The ceremony featured an invocation by Rabbi Abraham Horowitz of Spring Valley and a benediction by Reverend Teresa Darden of Nyack. Ava Aston performed stirring renditions of the national anthem and God Bless America. ” Thanks to all who participated and kudos to Clarkstown’s Police Honor Guard for enhancing the ceremony!”
