NEW CITY, NY – The Clarkstown Police Department will be offering car seat checks and installations, by appointment only. The next date which they will be offering this service is Sunday, February 18th from 𝟗:𝟎𝟎𝐚𝐦 – 𝟏𝟐:𝟎𝟎𝐩𝐦 at the Nanuet Fire Department Substation located at 11 Renee Ln., Bardonia.

You don’t need to call us for your appointment, they can be scheduled online using the link below.

There is no charge for the appointment. We will continue to offer more appointments in the future, so please check back with us if these dates do not work for your schedule.

An Alligator Was Rescued From The Minisceongo Creek

Today at approximately 11:10am, Haverstraw Police responded to the Minisceongo Creek in the area of Bridge Street in Garnerville for a report of an alligator in the creek.

Haverstraw Police Department personnel assisted in successfully removing the alligator from the water. The Hudson Valley Humane Society of Pomona responded to the scene to take possession and care of the alligator.

UPDATE: Rockland County Firefighters Headed To Orange County To Assist In Greenwood Lake Wildfire

Rockland County fire departments deployed units to Greenwood Lake in Orange County last night to help protect structures threatened by the brush fire. Hillcrest, Blauvelt, Pearl River, New City, West Haverstraw, Central Nyack, Nanuet, Piermont, and Suffern responded.
