WEST HAVERSTRAW, NY – Meet Kathleenann Cool, a lifelong Rockland County resident and proud member of the West Haverstraw community for the past 26 years, has officially announced her candidacy for Village Trustee. With a deep commitment to family, community, and good governance, she pledges to bring bipartisan representation and a fresh perspective to the village board.

“My candidacy is about representing all residents. West Haverstraw deserves leadership that ensures every voice is heard. Together, we can preserve the strong sense of community that makes our village special while ensuring responsible growth and development.”

Kathleenann’s campaign is centered on five key priorities:

Inclusive Representation: Promoting bipartisan collaboration and embracing diverse perspectives for fair and balanced decision-making.
Community Preservation: Protecting the character of West Haverstraw by preventing overdevelopment and illegal housing while encouraging thoughtful, responsible growth.
Infrastructure and Safety: Addressing traffic concerns through advocacy for improved infrastructure and practical traffic solutions.
Fiscal Responsibility: Ensuring sound financial planning for the future.
Transparency and Communication: Promoting open, honest dialogue between village government and the residents it serves.

With 33 years of experience as an educational administrator and teacher, Kathleenann brings proven leadership, organizational skills, and financial expertise to the table. Her academic background includes a Certificate in Human Resources from the Center for Educational Leadership, a Certificate of Advanced Study in Educational Administration from SUNY New Paltz, an M.A. in English from Iona College, and a B.A. in Broadcast Journalism with a Business minor from SUNY Plattsburgh.

An active and longtime community leader, Kathleenann has served on the Haverstraw Republican Committee and held treasurer and board positions in various school, sports, and performing arts organizations. She has coached youth sports and volunteered in her church as a catechist, CYO council member, organist, and Parish Council member.

Together with her husband James, Kathleenann raised their two children in West Haverstraw – a village she loves and is eager to serve. Her campaign reflects her lifelong dedication to community values, responsible governance, and transparent leadership.

SPRING VALLEY, NY – Meet Eudson Tyson Francois, candidate for Village of Spring Valley Mayor. Eudson has been a resident of Spring valley since 1984; a product of East Ramapo Central School District; former Trustee/ Police Commissioner of the Village of Spring Valley, married with 4 children, and a member of New Life Pentecostal Church since 1999. Meet Darnett Davis, Candidate for Spring Valley Mayor

SPRING VALLEY, NY – Meet Darnett David, a proud mother of four children, a woman of faith and integrity, she is the Early Childhood Educator and Director of Kidsnett Child Care Program for the past 12 years and is running to be Mayor of the Village of Spring Valley.

Darnett was born and raised in Jamaica, she moved to the United States of America in 2004, where she became a citizen and promptly started to contribute to her community. She worked with various agencies in Rockland County and New York State, providing employment for our residents and child care for our families. Darnett holds a Child Development Associate (CDA) and some credits at Rockland Community College in Early Childhood Education.

Her qualifications in supervisory and small business management are from the University of West Indies Continuing Studies, Jamaica. She has also completed certifications in performance and conflict management from the Management Institute for National Development (MIND). While being employed to the Transport Authority of Jamaica as Chief Inspector. Darnett is an honoree for Spring Valley’s 2021 Women’s History Month. She has also sponsored the Spring Valley’s Kids Center and contributed to Helping Hands of Rockland.

Darnett is a member of the National Association for the Education of the Young Children (NAEYC) and Child Care Resources of Rockland (CCRR), Spring Valley Rotary, New Life Pentecostal Church, ERCSD Superintendent Community Circle, SVHS Principal Circle. She is now a Member of the Board of Trustees at the Finkelstein Memorial Library, working to ensure that the library remains a vital resource for the community, promoting literacy and lifelong learning.

She has been awarded as Woman of Distinction by the US Congressman Mike Lawler for outstanding dedication and service to community as propelled her to do more.
