Published

on

As children and teens navigate the challenges of growing up, mental health can often be overlooked. Today, we emphasize the importance of mental health awareness for young people—and the vital role families, schools, and communities play in offering support.

No child should feel alone in their struggles. By encouraging open conversations and providing access to resources, we can help foster resilience and well-being for the next generation.

Clarkstown High School Seniors Celebrate College Decisions on 2025 Decision Day

Published

on

Cheers, hugs, and proud smiles filled the campuses of Clarkstown High School North and South as the district celebrated Decision Day , a nationwide event recognizing high school seniors’ post-graduation plans. The annual tradition, typically held on May 1, honors students as they announce the next chapter of their academic and professional journeys.

Known as “Decision Day,” the celebration gives seniors the opportunity to share where they’re headed after graduation—whether it be college, university, trade school, military service, or the workforce. This year, Clarkstown’s Class of 2025 displayed their next steps with pride, donning gear from institutions across the country and posing for photos with peers and teachers who supported them along the way.

While students prepare to become Huskies, Explorers, Ravens, and so much more, Clarkstown Central School District made sure to remind them of where their journey began. “No matter where our learners’ college and university selections may take them, we are so proud to have been an important first stop on their academic journeys,” the district shared in a message to families and the community. “Before you become Huskies, Explorers, and Ravens (just to name a few), you were—and will always be—Rams and Vikings.”

The event not only celebrated the achievements of the seniors but also served as inspiration for underclassmen, showing them what’s possible through hard work, determination, and community support.

As graduation approaches, Clarkstown continues to recognize the resilience, talent, and ambition of the Class of 2025. Congratulations to all the Rams and Vikings—past, present, and future—on this exciting milestone.
