RPD Arrest Two Men After Attempted Walmart Escape, Facing Larceny and Drug Charges

Two males are currently detained following an attempted escape from Walmart after allegedly committing a larceny. The footage, captured by RAPTOR-1, one of Ramapo PD’s D.F.R. drones, shows the suspects being apprehended. They are facing arrest and charges for larceny and possession of illegal drugs. One suspect also has a warrant out of Stony Point Police Department for a prior larceny.

FBI Offers $25,000 Reward for Information Leading To A Conviction In The Murder of Nicholas Jasiel In Spring Valley

The FBI is offering a reward of up to $25,000 for information leading to the identity, arrest, and conviction of the individual(s) responsible for the murder of Nicholas Jasiel.
At approximately 9:00 p.m., on December 7, 2019, 19-year-old Nicholas Jasiel was shot while in the street at the corner of Dwight Avenue and Mallory Road in the Hillcrest section of Spring Valley, New York, resulting in his death.

Double Homicide Investigation Underway After Two Women Found with Fatal Injuries in Spring Valley Apartment

On Saturday, February 15th at about 8:30 PM the Spring Valley Police Department received a call for service to check on the welfare of a subject at 4 Gesner Dr. When officers arrived, they discovered two female victims inside the apartment, both with significant head injuries. One was pronounced deceased at the scene and the other was transported to Westchester Medical Center where she succumbed to her injuries. Sunday evening, less than 24 hours later, nineteen-year-old, Alan Aba (also known as Alena Aba) of Westwood, New Jersey, was arrested, charged and arraigned on one count of Murder in the first degree (Penal Law 125.27) before the Honorable Judge Sweet and remanded to RCJ. The investigation revealed that this was an isolated incident with the parties known to each other and there is no continuing threat to the public. There were no firearms involved, despite earlier posts and reports. The Spring Valley Police Department would like to thank the Rockland County Sheriff’s Department, Rockland County Computer Crimes, Rockland County B.C.I., the Suffern Police Department, the Haverstraw Police Department, the New York State Police, the Putnam County Sheriff’s Department, the Rockland County District Attorney’s Office, Spring Hill Ambulance Corp., and the Rockland Paramedics.
