Rockland DA Walsh Recognizes Criminal Investigator for 35 Years of Service

Congratulations to Criminal Investigator Jeanne Horan on 35 Years of Service to the Rockland County District Attorney’s Office.

Criminal Investigator Jeanne Horan grew up in Rockland County and is a graduate of Albertus Magnus High School. For the last 35 years, she has worked in various roles in the Rockland County District Attorney’s Office Drug Task and the Special Victims Unit.

A ceremony was held with family and staff to commemorate and celebrate Criminal Investigator Horan. District Attorney Tom Walsh presented a plaque and thanked Criminal Investigator Horan for 35 years of distinguished service and dedication to the people of Rockland County.

An Alligator Was Rescued From The Minisceongo Creek

Today at approximately 11:10am, Haverstraw Police responded to the Minisceongo Creek in the area of Bridge Street in Garnerville for a report of an alligator in the creek.
Haverstraw Police Department personnel assisted in successfully removing the alligator from the water. The Hudson Valley Humane Society of Pomona responded to the scene to take possession and care of the alligator.

UPDATE: Rockland County Firefighters Headed To Orange County To Assist In Greenwood Lake Wildfire

Rockland County fire departments deployed units to Greenwood Lake in Orange County last night to help protect structures threatened by the brush fire. Hillcrest, Blauvelt, Pearl River, New City, West Haverstraw, Central Nyack, Nanuet, Piermont, and Suffern responded.
