Rockland’s Drew Fortescue of Pearl River Helps Lead Team USA to the Gold Medal at World Junior Ice Hockey Championship

ROCKLAND COUNTY, NY – Team USA defeated Sweden 6 – 2 to win the gold medal the the World Junior Ice Hockey Championship. Rockland’s Drew Fortescue, a defenseman from Pearl River played an important role in Team USA bringing home the gold medal. He currently plays in college for Boston College and was drafted by the NY Rangers in the 2023 NHL Draft.

Rockland’s Kelly Brady, North Rockland HS Grad, Signs to play professional soccer for Athlone FC in Ireland.
“We are delighted to announce the signing of Kelly Brady for the 2025 season! Kelly Brady is a striker hailing from Rockland County, New York, in her high-school career she scored 78 times and assisted 39 times, alongside winning Section 1 and being named Player of the Year in 2019. In college she played for both CCSU and the University of Mississippi, where she scored 25 times and assisted 15 times. She has also played with the Irish U19 squad in 2019 scoring 5 times in 7 games! “
