Stony Point Resident & World War 2 Veteran Celebrates 100th Birthday

STONY POINT, NY – Town of Stony Point Supervisor Monaghan and Police Chief Finn had the privilege of meeting Stony Point resident Jim Tiernan on his 100th birthday. Jim served his country as a pilot with the US Air Force during World War 2, flying 38 missions over Europe during the war. He then worked at Chase Bank for 40 years before retiring.

Happy 100th birthday, Mr. Tiernan!

The performance not only highlighted the school’s strong performing arts program but also brought pride to the Albertus Magnus community and all of Rockland County.
