After 37 Years, Owner Tom Sayre of Country Deli in Stony Point Retires

ROCKLAND COUNTY, NY – The end of an era. The Country Deli owned and ran by Tom Sayre for 37 years is being sold and Tom will begin a new chapter. The community won’t be the same without him! Tom is pictured below with another longtime Fireside Restaurant owner Tom Javenes enjoying a celebratory beer after close of business today.

Palisades Mall Reopens The Iconic Ferris Wheel

The 60-foot tall attraction is the only indoor Ferris Wheel in New York. It is now open daily in the Food Court from 12:30 to 8 PM. The mall will be hosting a ribbon-cutting ceremony on Saturday, January 18th from 12 to 3 PM that’ll feature live entertainment and half-price rides for all guests. The Ferris Wheel had been part of Palisades Center since the mall opened in 1998. The carousel was removed in 2021 and replaced with a rock climbing wall. – WRCR.

This is their first location and are proudly representing Rockland County. “Uptown Coffee Bar is a new coffee shop in West Nyack, across from the Palisades Mall. UCB will differentiate itself by having a fun urban/multicultural vibe and friendly service. Our coffee is sourced from La Colombe, a specialty roaster that offers coffee/espresso that is a step up from Starbucks, Dunkin’, and the other coffee shops in the area.”

Hours of operation are Monday – Friday 7:00 am – 5:00 pm. Saturday & Sunday 8:00 am – 5:00 pm. They are located at 130 North Rt. 303 in West Nyack, NY 10994 right off Exit 12 and directly across from the Palisades Mall.
