SUFFERN, NY – At 9:30 pm on Thursday, August 8th, the Suffern Fire Department responded to Oakdale Manor Apartment building (5 Oakdale Manor) for an Automatic Alarm. That call was quickly upgraded to a Structure Fire (working fire).

The fire was knocked down relatively fast, and confined to one apartment unit. The effects of the fire spread and damaged three other units.

Mutual aid was rendered by Tallman, Hillburn, Sloatsburg, and a FAST from Mahwah Fire Department’s.

A couple of residents were transferred by EMS to the hospital with minor injuries.

Tragedy in Orange County: A 50-year-old dad and his two young sons die in house fire

ORANGE COUNTY, NY – Tragedy in Orange County: A 50-year-old dad and his two young sons died in a house fire on Saturday night on Pulaski Highway in Goshen, located in Orange County, NY.

Both sons were nonverbal and had autism, according to News 12.

State police said emergency crews arrived at the fire just after 8 p.m. and found the home completely engulfed in flames. One neighbor said he saw about 30 trucks that were filled with responders.
