Suffern PD Host Annual US Police K-9 Association Region 7 Training

SUFFERN, NY – The Village of Suffern Police Department hosted the annual United States Police K-9 Association Region 7 training on Wednesday, August 21. Over 40 police K-9 Units from the New York and Connecticut areas came together for a full day of training and discussion of tactics and procedures. These units trained in explosives, arson, and narcotics detection.

We were able to get a first-hand look at how a K-9 unit goes through an explosives detection exercise. (Video below)
