NANUET, NY — In a major milestone for emergency medical services in Rockland County, the Nanuet Community Ambulance Corps (NCAC) is proud to announce the historic arrival of its fifth ambulance, marking the first time in the organization’s 83-year history that it will operate five ambulances simultaneously.

The newly delivered Ambulance 22B5, a state-of-the-art emergency vehicle, will be placed into active service in the coming days. Once operational, it will immediately begin serving residents across the Town of Clarkstown, strengthening emergency response efforts and ensuring faster, more efficient medical care.

“This ambulance delivery has been a long time coming, and we are thrilled to finally have 22B5 here,” said a spokesperson for the Nanuet Community Ambulance Corps. “With this new vehicle, we’re better equipped than ever to respond to emergencies and support the health and safety of our community.”

The addition of a fifth ambulance comes as Nanuet EMS continues to meet growing demand for emergency services in the Clarkstown area. The new Horton-built ambulance, delivered by VCI Emergency Vehicles, features the latest in medical technology, safety systems, and crew comfort, offering a modern and reliable response solution for both routine calls and large-scale emergencies.

Since its founding over eight decades ago, the Nanuet Community Ambulance Corps has remained a volunteer-driven organization dedicated to providing lifesaving care and rapid response services throughout the region. The delivery of 22B5 marks a turning point in the Corps’ legacy, reflecting both its historic roots and its forward-looking mission.

With five ambulances now in its fleet, Nanuet EMS is better positioned to:

Reduce response times

Support mutual aid and disaster readiness

Improve patient transport capacity

Expand EMS support at community events

Residents can expect to see 22B5 on the road soon, proudly serving neighborhoods throughout Clarkstown with professionalism, care, and commitment.
