The St. Patrick’s Day Parade in Rockland County has a rich history, beginning in 1963 and rotating locations for nearly a decade. In 1972 and 1973, the parade was held in Pearl River before officially making it its permanent home in 1974. This celebration honors St. Patrick, Irish heritage, and the significant contributions of Irish Americans to both the community and the country. As one of the largest St. Patrick’s Day parades in New York State, the event brings together families, friends, and community members to celebrate with pride, music, and tradition. The parade is hosted by the Rockland County Ancient Order of Hibernians (AOH), who continue to uphold its legacy.
