NYPD Family Seeks Support as 8-Year-Old Battles Brain Tumor

Published

on

On January 18th, after suffering from severe headaches and vomiting, 8-year-old Eamon was rushed to the emergency room. That same day, doctors discovered a 4 cm brain tumor. On January 19th, Eamon bravely underwent surgery to remove it.

After weeks of testing, the family received devastating news on February 5th: Eamon was diagnosed with medulloblastoma, a form of brain cancer.

In just one week, Eamon will begin intensive radiation and chemotherapy as he courageously fights this disease. While these treatments offer hope, they also bring immense physical, emotional, and financial challenges.

Eamon’s dad, Wil, is a retired NYPD Sergeant who dedicated his life to serving and protecting others. His mom, Katie, a freelance event producer and planner, is now fully focused on supporting Eamon through treatment and recovery. He is also a loving big brother to his 6-year-old sister, Isla, who stands by him with endless love as their family navigates this difficult time together.

Eamon is a bright and joyful 8-year-old who loves basketball, the New York Knicks, video games, and spending time with his friends.

This fundraiser was created to help ease the financial strain during this incredibly challenging period. Donations will go directly toward Eamon’s medical expenses, ongoing treatments, hospital stays, travel to and from appointments, and everyday needs—allowing the family to focus fully on his care and recovery.

Any donation, no matter the size, and every share of this page helps lift some of the burden. Most importantly, the Rodriguez family welcomes your prayers, love, and support as Eamon faces treatment with courage and strength.
